Summary (plain English)

Pawssport stores all of your pet data locally on your iPhone. We do not run servers, do not have user accounts, and do not collect, sell, or share your information. The app is provided free of charge, "as is," with no warranties, and is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. By using the app you accept the terms below.

1. Who We Are

"Pawssport," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the independent developer of the Pawssport iOS application (the "App"). You can reach us at support@mypawssport.com. This document describes how the App handles information and the terms on which it is provided to you (the "user," "you," or "your").

The App does not collect, transmit, or store personal information on remote servers operated by us. Specifically, we do not collect:

3. Information You Enter Into the App

Any data you choose to enter — including pet profiles, vaccination records, medications, appointments, photos, notes, and reminders — is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to it. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any information you enter and for maintaining your own backups.

4. Notifications

If you enable notifications, the App schedules reminders locally on your device using iOS's notification system. These reminders never leave your device and are not transmitted to us or any third party.

If you add a photo of your pet, the App requests access to your photo library only to import the photo you select. Imported photos are stored locally within the App.

6. Third-Party Services

The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may independently collect certain information (such as download metrics, crash reports, and aggregated analytics) under Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the privacy practices of Apple or any other third party. If iCloud Backup is enabled on your device, your local App data may be included in that backup, which is managed entirely by Apple.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and Similar Laws)

Because we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, we generally have no personal data to access, correct, port, or delete. You can exercise full control over your data directly within the App: edit or delete any entry, or uninstall the App to remove all associated local data. If you have a specific request under the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or similar laws, email support@mypawssport.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.

Your data is protected by the standard security features of iOS and your device passcode. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, and iCloud account secure.

The App is a record-keeping and reminder tool for personal use. It is not a medical device and does not provide veterinary, medical, diagnostic, or treatment advice. Always consult a qualified, licensed veterinarian for any decision regarding your pet's health. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something displayed in the App. Reliance on any information provided by the App is solely at your own risk.

11. "As Is" — No Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT NOTIFICATIONS OR REMINDERS WILL BE DELIVERED ON TIME OR AT ALL, OR THAT ANY DATA YOU ENTER WILL BE PRESERVED.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF — OR INABILITY TO USE — THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HARM TO YOU, YOUR PET, OR ANY THIRD PARTY, MISSED MEDICATIONS OR APPOINTMENTS, FAILED OR LATE NOTIFICATIONS, LOST OR CORRUPTED DATA, OR ANY DECISION MADE IN RELIANCE ON THE APP.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIVE U.S. DOLLARS (US$5.00). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU; IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MINIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use or misuse of the App or your violation of this Policy.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

15. Governing Law

This Policy and any dispute arising out of or related to the App shall be governed by the laws of the developer's place of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction apply.
